Grand Refuge Holiday Rooms

The owner is really nice, he gave us some excelent tips to see some cool, free spots in the city. At the last day when we needed to catch the bus and it was pouring like crazy, he offered to drive us to the bus station for a small fee. We also had all our meals there and each of them was more amazing than the last. His mom is a really skilled cook, which offeres you a chance to experience amazing traditional cuisine. Their garden looks like a sanctuary. When you have your meal infront of the house, you can observe lots of wild animals visiting and walking around, so truly pristine Sri lankan experience.

Maybe the location. It's located 10-15min walk to the main road, where you can catch a bus or tuk tuk. It was not the issue for us.

Such a quiet and natural space. Lovely garden with various birds and squirrels. The hosts are very friendly, the food is great (and so is the juice!). I recommend :-)

Owners are very welcoming and accommodating. Good value. I rented a moto and was given good suggestions. Helped for my travel plans when leaving. I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for everything.

Very helpful family they will do everything to make your life easier. They picked me up from the bus station at night time and found a bycicle for me. Their lunch is huge and tasty. Highly recommended!

Beautiful property, kind owners, the best ice cream, delicious dinner! We had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend it! Everything was perfect! So many birds in the garden like peacocks and green parrots! We even got to see Sri Lanka’s national animal!

It was very hot in the room - but, you are paying for a fan room, so, you know what to expect. We still had a great sleep 👍
