As a solo female traveler, I experienced one of the most terrifying incidents of my life here. Here’s why this place is HIGHLY UNSAFE, especially for women traveling alone: ❌ 1️⃣ I was Locked Inside Against My Will • The property managers physically locked me inside the villa and denied me the right to leave. • This was not a misunderstanding—they deliberately trapped me inside after Booking.com confronted them on speaker phone. You should NEVER have to fight for your basic right to leave a hotel or rental. ❌ 2️⃣ Unresponsive & Untrustworthy • I was left outside alone at 11 PM with no response from the owners/managers despite multiple calls/messages. • I waited nearly an hour in unsafe conditions (wild dogs, deserted area, no security) and had to deal with 3 different points of contact (the wife, the husband — new managers PLUS the old manager.) 🚨 If they ignore your calls during check-in, what happens in an emergency? ❌ 3️⃣ No Security, No Emergency Support ❌ 4️⃣ Intimidation & Aggressive Behavior from Male Managers • The husband (old manager) became aggressive after Booking.com told them I wouldn’t have to pay. • His voice thundered through the villa, he stormed toward me with fury in his eyes. • I was physically blocked from leaving. He locked the villa door and trapped me inside as hostage until I gave him the money. 🚨 This is NOT normal behavior. No guest should feel threatened where they stay. ❌ 5️⃣ Filthy & Deceptive Listings • The villa was advertised as a luxury property but was dirty, unkempt, and unsanitary. • Broken appliances, leaking fridge, garbage everywhere, dirty space. • They refused to acknowledge the poor conditions and still demanded full payment. ❌ 6️⃣ Booking.com Failed to Vet & Take Action Despite witnessing my distress live on the call, Booking.
