Mara Intrepids Tented Camp

Friendly staff and very knowledgeable guide

Tents were cold and damp when it rained. Although there was plenty of food, it did not live up to quality expectations.

Very well maintained grounds but a bit too much garden-like for my taste. The whole camp is fenced, for some an advantage because you can easily walk to your accommodation in the night, for some it takes away the feeling you are in the bush. This camp has been around since a long time and is still completely relying on generators for power supply. You can hear the generator in your tent. We did not have much view from our tent. The following has nothing to do with Intrepids camp but with the Mara Conservancy: I was very disappointed that you are no longer allowed to drive your own vehicle for game drives, this definately takes away the fun of being able to explore yourself. I feel uncomfortable with all the offroad driving by safari cars, animals are being disturbed.

The location is very good and the game drives were amazing. The breakfast and lunch had good variety, however the dinner did not meet our expectations as the menu was small, the portions were small after an entire day in the outdoors. Ready made bed with hot water bottle under the blanket and wake up call with coffee in the tent was a nice touch.

Drinking water for all meals should have been included in the price. It took long to get warm water in the shower.

Amazing location, hospitality, food, game drives, & arrangements. We had our best time on vacation. Will definately be back once more. Thank you Mara Intrepids for making our time so special. Loved every moment of our stay.

Magical place and people - we would recommend it to anyone. A special shout out is sent to John and Nixon for wonderful game drives and making sure the ROAR of Mufassa was heard!

Samson Oramat was a spectacular guide for our game drives and a very hard working, nature loving individual. Masila and shila in the restaurant were extremely kind as well and made us want to stay so much longer!

Food was outstanding, amenities were excellent. Safari was exceptional. Location was perfection. Everything WAY surpassed expectations. Staff were absolutely incredible. Cant rate it highly enough.
