Happy Beach Safari retreat

The view and the guide who took us on safari arranged by the property.

The condition of the property, in our room the bathroom door is falling apart would not close.broken glass in window (piece missing)smell in the room from shower drain when the washing machine was being used next door.The property needs major maintenance. One guy seems to do everything while a few sit in the eating area(so called restaurant) doing nothing. I have stayed in quite a few places in Sri Lanka, I could not recommend this.

Very cozy guest house. Quiet peaceful place. One of the friendliest hosts I have ever met. Excellent breakfasts and dinners, everything is just like home. Wonderful people. No problems with water, there is a fan and air conditioning. The owner and staff do not impose anything on you beyond what you have agreed on. But at the same time they are always ready to help you if necessary. Imagine that you are very tired of the city bustle, constant noise, annoying and intrusive sellers. You want to escape somewhere to the ends of the earth. Then this is the place for you. Here you will be met by Thaliph, who will give you a room, feed you breakfast and express his readiness to introduce you to the beauty of Sri Lanka. Imagine a beach with fine white sand. Closer to the ocean, the sand is already chocolate color. And not a single tourist around, no one will prevent you from enjoying the beauty of the ocean. Only you and the ocean, which will greet you with the sound of the surf and a light breeze. In this house, you will be surrounded by the most hospitable and friendly people. When we went to this guest house, we imagined a hotel, fuss, scurrying staff. But, after we checked in, we were left to our own devices. At the same time, everything we needed was given to us as soon as we reminded about ourselves. The breakfasts are excellent. Fish with rice or vegetables, shrimp or fruit on the ocean shore are simply delicious. You will always be given fresh tea, and those who wish will be offered a bottle of beer. By the way, when you go out onto the terrace in front of the house, you are already on the shore and the ocean greets you. We were met at the airport. Upon arrival, the rooms were already ready for occupancy. Everything was clean and tidy. And again, without unnecessary fuss. If you want, they will organize any trip for you along any route: beaches, national parks, Buddhist temples, all the sights of Sri Lanka.

A very insignificant point is that the beach is not equipped for swimming. But if you want, you can swim everywhere. As a lover of contemplating the beauty of the ocean and enjoying wild nature, I liked the beach.

A fantastic place, just steps from the sea, offering a relaxing atmosphere and exceptionally friendly staff.

It could be cleaner.

Fantastic location!

The whole place is pretty dilapidated. Rooms could be cleaner (however, bed and linen were without fault). Very basic breakfast.

The location of this retreat is great: right on the beach. Rooms are large with working A/C. Host is very helpful and accomodating.

This place has so much potential but needs so much TLC. Paint is literally falling from the walls, hot shower not working, doors and windows almost falling out, messy terrain, dilapidated garden furniture. However, if the basics and beach vibe are enough for you: good place to go to.

We had a fantastic stay. We arrived and were warmly welcomed. Our room was ready and it looked great. We had a room with sea view. We were immediately offered a beer on arrival and in the evening the host prepared fresh fish, shrimps, chips and rice for us. One of the best dishes we've had in Sri Lanka. The accommodation is located directly at sea, so you have a lot of peace here. The host is very helpful and will make your stay comfortable.
