Peaceful Seasonal Wooded Cottage close to everything

We enjoyed using the higher end appliances. The place was clean and the beds comfortable. We also liked that there was plenty of games. My son and I had a good time playing scrabble. The kayaks are a great idea too for those able to transport them which we unfortunately were not.

The lane leading up to the cabin was horrible which we weren't expecting, and the location wasn't as secluded as we thought. The water pressure was sporadic. A few bugs toward the end of the 2nd day.( to be expected given the location)

This property is extremely cute, and very clean! Steven is a wonderful host. The location is great, and there's tons of things to do and see in nearby Hawley and Honesdale. Steven left us a packet with a lot of information regarding the cabin and the area. It was great! Super cozy. We stayed in the beginning of September :)

The only drawbacks to this property is the lack of AC in bedrooms, and the driveway/road to the property. Although there is AC in the central living room and fans in the bedroom- we found ourselves sweating at night and throughout the day if we did not leave the doors completely open. The road to the property is also extremely rugged, often times making us worry if our tires would pop or if we would get stuck in the massive potholes.

Everything about the cabin was just the way it looked on line. Private, cozy and near the big lake. Just lovely.

We loved everything about our stay even on our last day at the cabin we seen a black bear. Walked right up the driveway by our vehicle and on up the hill.

Not one thing would be changed

The “cabin” is as wonderful as houses I’ve rented in Deep Creek MD, just on a smaller scale. Everything inside is new or updated. When you step outside, it feels like you’re at camp. Beautiful stone patio to relax on and enjoy a fire. Games, Netflix, kayaks and nature give you so many options for a relaxing time away. Restaurants and the lake are just a mile away as well. Eat at “The Dock”!! I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Sometimes the water sputters and the toilet is very loud after flushing, but I think it’s just due to the septic tank.
