clean modern facilities with all amenities and great location

people staying there were disruptive and dirty, not the hosts fault though!

Matthew was fairly attentive, although it took 3 days to fix a blocked shower. The issue with the pool filtration system was fixed quickly.

This accommodation is for young party people. Between 5 & 6 sunbeds for 19 apartments is not adequate. Loud music on occasion by the pool, no staff at all, bins in the pool area overflowing for 5 days. Roadworks outside, with a rock breaker starting at 7 a.m. The twin beds were in an open plan area attached to the kitchen, with just a blind for privacy.

Place was clean and nice apartment in a nice location.

We were locked out our room twice. The doors are locked and opened by a keycode, our keypad stopped working and the door would not open, the first time we were locked out of the apartment during the day and the owner got someone to come and fix it, then it later on happened a few days later at 2AM and we were locked out our apartment in the middle of the night for an hour and a half the owner arrived tried the door and then left to get a key, came back with a key did not work and as the owner did “not want to pay €150 for a locksmith” we were still locked out. so after we waited 1 hour and 30 mins on the stairs the owner arrived and checked us into a new room with none of our belongings, no food water none of our things nothing and told us it would be fixed by the time we woke up at 7am at 9am it was still not fixed, it eventually got fixed and it didn’t happen again thankfully. Not happy and feel as if we should be getting compensation for that night.

The only good things were the location and the fact that they responded to messages quickly.

We encountered a very disappointing situation. Upon arrival at the apartment, we found dirty laundry in the hallway, an uncleaned apartment, and a complete lack of clean essentials. In short, the apartment was not prepared for our arrival at all. After contacting the property manager, a cleaning crew was sent, and we were only able to enter a clean apartment at 8 PM. After waiting for them to prepare the place, we faced the next disappointment. The so-called "cleaning" team did clean the apartment, but there was no clean bedding for the sofa, no pillows, and no blankets. So, even after three hours of cleaning, the apartment was still not properly prepared for four people (which is how many of us there were). They failed to provide essentials for all four guests, and we had to contact them again and wait for towels and bedding to be delivered later. Additionally, the pull-out sofa is in very poor condition (broken in two places), and the other couch is stained. The entire apartment is not maintained as it should be. We were promised a refund for the first night due to the delayed check-in caused by their mistake, but we never received that money. Avoid this accommodation at all costs.

The location was good, there are a number of local shops close by to pick up the basics. A 8-10 minute walk or quick taxi (approx €5) to St.Juliens.

What I didn't like was the open plan area where the single beds were separated from the kitchen/dinner by retractable curtain. I had asked the service provider to confirm that there were 2 separate bedrooms but unfortunately they never responded to my question.

The property was very central to the local town with a short walk to a 24hr shop which was very convenient. A pharmacy also very close. The pool area was very clean, enough loungers if you wanted to switch off from the world and a nice little sun spot. The kitchen and living room area was fab, nice and spacious and the bathroom is far from the bedroom which is great for new couples if they do their business without being heard. Shower was great too, nice and spacious with a lovely temperature. The aircon was a godsend as we both struggled a bit with the heat, top marks for that! The bed was huge and really comfortable, just a shame about the pillows. Over-all I probably would stay again, just not on the top floor.

The shower could have done with a good bleach as there were lots of mould around the edges of the shower. I didn't enjoy being on the top floor either, when the wind set in we had banging from the rooftop satellites all night long, we didn't sleep well that night at all which really hindered our next day exploring as we were so tired. The pool is shared with everyone in the apartment building also so hearing a group of lads jumping and shouting in the pool wasn't the most relaxing. We never got any fresh towels, so had to use the same towel all week. However you did get a washing machine, but I didn't fancy going out to find washing tablets so would have been nice to have been provided some And the pillows really need updating, we had to sleep with a blanket under them to get any type of comfort. No tea and coffee were left either which was disappointing- this was the first holiday I've been too without these facilities.

Unfortunately not all guests respect the pool area with littering and cigarette butts

The air conditioning was great in both the bedroom and living room! The pool was divine and we used it everyday! The kitchen had adequate utensils and dishwasher was very handy. The pdf guide was clear for us and plenty of bin bags for our stay. Communication with Swieqi Poolside Suites was good too, they responded quickly to questions and had a useful number for emergencies. We received 4 rolls of complimentary toilet paper.

The bathroom didn't have a fan extract for the steam. It did have a window with mesh to ventilate it however that opened up across another rooms bathroom window- so you could see into each others bathroom if both opened. Other guests who didn't follow the guide such as with the level of noise (blasting music late at night to morning), smoking and littering (especially around the pool). But Swieqi Poolside Suites were great with handling it and cleaning up. Shame others didn't respect the area or rules.
