The short distance to the airport is ideal to stay here before departure (like we did) or after arrival. Also, the traffic coming/going from/to the airport was manageable thanks to direct road connections crossing the highway. To get into the city or Tanjung Aru beach, we used Grab which worked fine and was not very expensive. Still, to really enjoy downtown KK we would recommend to pick a hotel in the city to have everything in walking distance (e.g. the Horizon Hotel). The rooms are modern and looked as nice as on the pictures, the bathroom and shower were also in a very good condition. The staff we met was very friendly and we liked the option to have a shared fridge outside the room for some snacks and drinks. Wifi was good and worked perfectly. Otherwise it is very much self service and you get a code for your door instead of a key. The hotel is on the upper floors of a business/mall building, downstairs are plenty of restaurants and shops, very convenient. If you arrive by car, you should be able to find parking space in the garage (free).

The automated check-in procedure with passport scanning using a terminal similar to self-check in booths at an airport was not really that smooth, but we were greeted by an employee who was happy to assist us. Maybe not the easiest option for travellers that are not too comfortable with the digital world :-)

This is a truly catfish property . The property looks nothing like the photos , it’s really depressing . Dark, very difficult to find with no receptions . The rooms really look nothing like the pictures . How on earth this place has an 8.9 rating is beyond me. I rarely write reviews but truly was surprised at how different and how bad this place looks. Be prepared for a completely different experience
