In short: a particularly negative experience that made us leave and change accommodation the very next morning. Expectations & Price: We had booked our last 3 nights in Indonesia at this place, persuaded by the many positive reviews and arriving with high expectations. We paid €82.79 (about 1,572,000 IDR) for 3 nights – well above the average of other accommodations we stayed at in Bali, Nusa Penida, and even in Lombok (Sembalun). Location & Check-In: Already on the way there, we realized how inconvenient the location was: isolated and made worse by a rough, unpaved road. Hardly ideal for anyone not used to riding a scooter. On arrival, a staff member named Christian checked us in informally (he carried only one of our two bags). He mentioned breakfast was at 6:30 AM and asked if we wanted to rent scooters. Meanwhile, a dog was wandering around. Since my partner is afraid of dogs, I pointed it out, but he gave no reaction at all, as if he hadn’t understood. The Room: The room itself was the breaking point: The floor was made of rough outdoor-style stone, giving no impression of cleanliness. The bed had a rug instead of a blanket, with a small quilt that didn’t even cover the whole mattress. Only two bath towels were provided – no hand towels. The bathroom was tiny, with the same floor, and the shower sprayed water over the entire area, including the toilet. The drains were literally just holes in the ground, covered with a stone. Most unacceptable of all: a sign next to the toilet instructed guests not to flush toilet paper, but instead to place it in a tiny bin. This is simply unhygienic. What happens if someone is sick and has to use a lot of paper? You’re left with a pile of soiled, smelly tissue in the room until staff hopefully empty the bin the next day. Our Decision & The Manager’s Response: It didn’t take long for us to decide to leave. I texted the manager, Beng Beng, (message attached), and he soon showed up in person.

L’endroit ne correspond pas du tout à ce que nous avons réservé : nous n’avons passé que 4 nuits là-bas sur les 30 prévues, et le propriétaire fait le mort pour éviter d’avoir à nous rembourser. Notre bungalow réservé était en fait une chambre sombre donnant sur l’espace commun et les fenêtres sur l’espace fumeur. Les rideaux étaient cassés. Nous n’avions aucune intimité, tout le monde pouvait nous voir couchés sur le lit et nous entendre. C’était donc extrêmement bruyant. Les coupures d’électricités étaient répétitives et il semblait que c’était le seul endroit du village sans électricité. Les petits déjeuners ne sont plus inclus… enfin si, mais pour une seule personne… et le propriétaire ne mentionne pas ça sur Booking. Nous avons séjourné dans un bunker. Ça fait un mois que j’essaye de me faire rembourser… le propriétaire fait le mort et Booking ne répond pas quand je leur montre les preuves de cette arnaque. Fuyez !

The view is good. But it's at the end of a step dirt track so when a truc or bike is passing it's noisy.

The staff was not really welcoming. It's seems empty. That was not really clean. It's actually look in bad shape. The breakfast is not really good just a pancake and you make your own tea with an old boiler. I won't recommande staying there except if you are a surfer dude only here to surf.

THE ROAD OUTSIDE THE FRONT DOOR IS BROKEN AND DANGEROUS AND THE MOTORCYCLE IS FAULTY. WE HAD A REALLY BAD ACCIDENT OUTSIDE THE PROPERTY.

The view and the location is wonderful ! Beng beng is a really nice person and always here to help if needed !

Beng, beng, the property manager, couldn't be more helpful. Always greets you with a smile and caters to any requests promptly. Location, only a short walk to the surf, which was great.

The hill down from the property was a tad sketchy, especially when hiring scooters.
