This is not just a desert camp, it’s an experience that feels almost cinematic.
From the moment you arrive you understand you’re somewhere special. Endless dunes, total silence, and light that changes every hour, from deep gold to soft blue to a sky exploding with stars.
The owner Salah is incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely fun to be around. One of those people who instantly sets the tone relaxed, authentic, and full of positive energy. You don’t feel like a guest, you feel included.
The camp itself is beautifully done. Simple, yes but intentional. The huts, the fabrics, the lanterns, everything feels curated without losing that raw desert charm. It’s not luxury in the traditional sense, but it’s something much more interesting: atmosphere.
And then, the food.
Honestly, unexpected. Fresh, flavorful, generous and cooked with care. Sitting in the middle of the desert, under soft lights, eating incredibly good food while someone grills in the background… it’s one of those moments where you stop and think: this is exactly why I travel. Especial note: my girlfriend is pescatarian, in all Oman they just give her vegetable options. Here in the middle of the desert: Tuna! She was so happy
Sunset and sunrise here are unreal. Watching the sun drop behind the dunes, or rise in complete silence with nothing around you… it resets something inside.
There’s also a sense of freedom: climbing dunes, jumping into the sand, driving through the desert, doing nothing at all — everything feels right.
If you’re looking for polished, predictable comfort, this might not be your place. But if you want something real, immersive, and full of character — with great food and even better people — this is a place you’ll remember
