Flat in Budleigh Salterton

The location of the property was perfect for the places we wanted to visit. The property itself was ideal for 2 people, it was very comfortable and having a toilet upstairs was brilliant. Jenny had thought of everything and it was almost home from home.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like but we would have loved a teapot as we’re big tea drinkers.

Plenty of space for a couple to settle for a couple of days with everything needed for self catering. The property is private, despite being attached to a residence. Everything was spotless. It is in a beautiful environment with great walks through woods and fields just up the road. Local sites are easily accessible with a car.

We are not used to a double bed!

Flat was lovely to stay in with all the home comforts. Perfect location for us to attend a wedding in the area. Hosts very welcoming, would visit again.

It was warm, comfortable, spotlessly clean and filled with natural light. The location was lovely and quiet with easy access to walks around the golf course and it was well situated for exploring the local area.

There was nothing not to like

A great location with access to the South West Coast Path via a footpath outside of the front gate. It is a lovely flat which can be used as a hub to go to many places that side of Devon. If you want peace this is the place for you! If you need to stock up on food there is a great Marks & Spencer Foodhall close by in Exmouth, there's also a Tesco Superstore and Lidl. Public transport is efficent in this area if you don't want to use the car. As we wanted to discover some of the South West Coast Path we would use the bus to get us back to places where we had parked the car along the route. I recommend the walk which is a loop from Budleigh Salterton eastwards along the coastal path then go inland to Otterton, quench your thirst at the Kings Arms there and then take the route back along the River Otter. If tired you can always catch the bus back! A lot of these walks are in a book alogside other information provided by the lovely hosts. Maybe I shouldn't be telling you all this as I want to be able to book again!
