Silky Oaks Couples Retreat

Beautiful design, very cosy and also very practical. Everything we needed was there, even the smallest things like first aid, boardgames, scented candles and braai utensils.

The property was beautifully decorated, very clean and fully equipped for all our needs (and more). The property offers privacy and a beautiful view from the balcony. We enjoyed a braai one evening in our private courtyard. The host was friendly and kind, assisting us with some wonderful recommendations. The property is located conveniently near to a variety of restaurants and wine farms. It was a tranquil getaway and I would highly recommend this beautiful spot to any couple (who doesn’t mind a few of stairs).

We had a lovely time at cosy Silky Oaks and all the little touches made such a difference - there is everything you need and more, even for the doggies! Annabella was a great host and very welcoming. We look forward to visiting again some day, thank you!

We loved the quietness, the small detail left in the apartment by the owner, like fresh milk left in fridge,etc. The mosquito net and aircon was a big plus!! Anabela is a very warm and friendly host. The outside braai area was very nice. It was a very cosy stay!!

We visited in December so the days were very hot, but luckely they supplied for it! Can't think of anything we did not like!

What a fantastic find! We loved that the apartment offers two inviting outdoor spaces for relaxation: a private courtyard with a spacious dining table as well as a balcony with a lovely view. The bedding was of exceptional quality, and the mosquito net was a thoughtful touch. Anabela, our host, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She went above and beyond, leaving us Lindt chocolates and the most delicious biscotti. The accommodation is pet-friendly and even includes a cot for a baby, making it ideal for couples or small families. Its location is perfect: just a short stroll to the town center, where you can explore charming art galleries and unique shops. We can’t recommend Silky Oaks Couples Retreat highly enough!

I fell in love with Silky Oaks Couples Retreat in Riebeek Kasteel for its tranquil charm and the serene escape it offers from the everyday hustle and bustle. The unique combination of breathtaking landscapes and a peaceful atmosphere creates the perfect setting for anyone looking to unwind in nature—especially with your furry dogs by your side.

There wasn’t much to dislike about the retreat—it truly felt like the perfect getaway. If I had to mention anything, it would be how quickly time seemed to fly in such a peaceful setting! A big thank you to Anabela for being such a wonderful host.

I have been travellinga lot in ZA during the last 18 years and therefore rented many cottages. This cottage is certainly one of my three favourites. As soon as one enters the house it is obvious with how much care, love and intelligence everything is thought out. Nothing cheap but very comfortable bed, nice and enough plates, cups, glasses, knives that cut, great thick bathtowels, nice light at night and spactacular view from the balcony. All that topped by a highly appreciated welcoming very good bottle of wine and some nice chocolates and kind and good advice by Anabela. I wish I had booked for a month ! But I shall certainley stay here again whenever I come back to RK. T H A N K Y O UFelt

The fluffy bathrobes were a lovely bonus. The view and sunlight in the bedroom during the day was great for a relaxing day of lounging and reading.
