"Not Exactly Baby-Friendly (or Guest-Friendly)"

5.0

What we liked:    •   Quiet(ish) location in a tiny village 15–20 min from Pescara – great if you have a car and a strong sense of direction.    •   6 minutes by car to Interspar.    •   There’s an elderly lady neighbor across the street who was genuinely lovely – the real highlight of our stay.    •   Mountain view… if you look past the road.    •   Ground floor apartment with a small courtyard and parking (small car recommended unless you’re a parallel parking champion).    •   The bathroom was actually clean. Gold star for that one.    •   Dishwasher tablets were provided – so at least the dishes could be cleaner than the frying pan we got.

brace yourself:    •   House is right on the road. No sidewalk. No peace. Bring earplugs. Seriously. You’ll need them.    •   Constant traffic + neighbor’s teen revving mopeds = soundtrack of our stay.    •   Self check-in turned into neighbor-assisted rescue operation. Host speaks only Italian, which is fine, unless you don’t.    •   No Wi-Fi. Yes, in 2025. Still no Wi-Fi.    •   Cold house + cold tile floors = cozy like a bus station. No rugs, so baby crawling wasn’t an option.    •   Kitchen = living room. Coats went on the couch (no hooks, no closets).    •   Dirty frying pan from previous guests gave everything a nice seafood twist. Mmm.    •   Missing basics: no cheese grater, colander, or garlic press – in Italy, of all places.    •   Baby crib was broken and folded on its own. Mattress? Blanket? Optional, apparently.    •   Baby high chair was found outside, dirty and forgotten. Like us.    •   No duvet cover – just a sheet and a mysterious blanket. We avoided eye contact with it.    •   Trash drama: bins were full when we arrived. Sorting rules were in Italian. Still got blamed for doing it wrong.    •   You’re expected to clean and make beds before leaving. Or enjoy a guilt trip via post-checkout photo from host.    •   Outdoor furniture covered in dust and cobwebs. We didn’t sit. We survived.    •   Curious about cleaning standards? Move the nightstand – the dust colony under there will tell you everything you need to know. Tip: If you still decide to book, bring:    •   A duvet cover    •   Tea and coffee    •   Soap and shampoo    •   Mobile internet + Google Translate    •   Paper towels for the kitchen    •   Earplugs    •   Your own cleaning standards

"Very satisfying"

9.0

The equipment of the apartment was excellent. There were even tabs for the washing machine and for the dishwasher, Everything was very wel thought.

It is necessary to have a car, because there was no shop near, not even a very small one to buy some elemental things. Fortunately we came by car.

"Superb"

Very welcoming owners. Comfortable one bedroom apartment with convenient private garden and car park. Qiet location. Five minutes drive to town center with some restaurants, ten minutes to a big shopping mall. Easy access to Pescara city center and Chieti. Liked very much that all windows and entrance have mosquito nets.

It would be great to have an iron with an ironing board.
