Duomo Sant'Agata Apartment

The host Antonio is nice. He waited for us and welcomed us to his apartment. He showed us how everything worked. The apartment is big, airy, with two balconies. The two large bedrooms are comfortable for 4/5 people. We found it spotless and with everything in order and functioning. The rate includes the possibility or making breakfast (coffe, milk, tea, sugar, yogurt and more etc were available) and using the washing machine.

The only issue has been the garage. There is indeed a garage available for 10 Euro/night inside the building, however you must drive a small car to be able to park hassle free. The building where the apartment is located is antique with a huge and heavy iron gate. You need to be strong enough to push it open and unlock the locker, then you must drive in backward inside the narrow passage and finally you should be able to park inside the garage. On top of this, the doorman, even when he should be there, is not helpful at all and there are often cars and moto parked in front of the gate that make it even more difficult to get in. So the parking is available and safe, be mindful to rent a small car.

Antonio is an excellent host he met us at the property and helped us to get parked. He showed us around the apartment and gave us map and recommendations for local area.

We were travelling as a family of 4 for the first time in Catania - Sicily, Antonio was very helpful in making our stay really nice, he helped us a lot with with transfer during our late night arrival, with guidance where to go, restaurant and interesting points so we really enjoyed our short stay... will be back again for sure, probably during summer for holidays!

Our stay in Duomo Sant'Agata Apartments was very satisfaying. The host, Antonia, exceeded all our expectations, was very friendly and made us really welcomed in Catania! Thank you, Antonio! :) Apartment is fairly big, it was ok for our family with 3 children. Beds were comfy, in both bedrooms was AC. In kitchen and dining area we found everything we needed. The supplies for breakfast were in a fridge (butter, yoghurts, sliced cheese, ham, milk, water, juices and sweet snacks) There were also cereals, granola and sweet spreads and bread. Bathroom was clean, with a hairdryer. The apartment is on a top floor but there is an elevator! You can also hang towels or anything else to dry on a little balcony. Everything was perfect! We rented also a garage inside - it was fairly easy to park (we managed to park a small rented SUV)

The flat is in the center of Catania, about a 5-minute walk to Piazza Duomo and Via Etnea and the markets! Antonio was a great host! He picked/dropped from/to the airport. My family loved the place, all stocked up with food and oh the coffee is really good!!! Antonio gave us a map and suggestions on where to go and eat some awesome Sicilian cuisine! We will book this place again if we ever have to visit Sicily again! Highly recommend!

Antonio the host is TOP! He makes you feel welcome from the very first moment. Location is in the historic centre of Catania. Close enough to Piazza Borsellino where you can catch public transport to various locations. There was everything we needed in this historic apartment. Beds were wonderful! Walking distance to all historic/entertainment places in Catania.
