"Great little cottage for dogs and humans!"

7.0

This property is in an excellent position for visiting all the fantastic places, museums etc, plus walking in stunning surroundings along the river Severn on the doorstep. An incredible number of museums, great pubs and cafes nearby, some with water frontage. It's a lovely stay, with parking right outside the small garden, great for dogs, cosy and homely, well equipped kitchen, lovely light and bright bedrooms.

The living area on the ground floor is dark, so needs to have lights on at all times, one bulb wasn't working, but we didn't mention it as we were only there for a weekend. In the top bedroom, the ensuite door wouldn't close, and couldn't be locked, but we managed. In the bathroom on the first floor the mixer tap on the cold side wouldn't turn, so we couldn't use the shower over the bath, all using the one on the top floor instead. Overall, the place is fairly clean, but there are a few places which could do with a deeper clean. It feels like the updating isn't quite finished, with a few places in need of touching up.

The location is good with a nice 15 minute walk along cycle path to Ironbridge and right opposite the Tile museum.

The property was not clean and facilities needed maintenance. This included filthy blinds which didn’t keep light out, filthy attic velux windows, sewage smell from kitchen sink and general level of griminess. We fed this back to management who were very helpful on arrival and sent cleaners, however this did not really resolve many of these issues. It is worth noting the twin bedroom is a kind of mezzanine to kitchen and so if with children is hard to make noise in evenings!
