Central and Cozy Apartment

NOT MUCH, WE HAD NO IDEA THE UNIT WAS ON THE THRID FLOOR WITH A NARROW WINDING STAIRCASE, THE BATHROOM WAS SMALL & THE KITCHEN WAS NOT PERFECT.

WE HAD NO IDEA THE UNIT WAS ON THE THRID FLOOR WITH A NARROW WINDING STAIRCASE, THE BATHROOM WAS SMALL & THE KITCHEN WAS NOT PERFECT. I WOULD NOT OF RENTED THE APARTMENT IF I NEW IT WAS ON THE THIRD FLOOR!!

Excellent location, very close to Hallgrímskirkja and multiple restaurants, walking distance to bus terminus and many attractions near the harbor. Host was very prompt with helpful responses.

Everything was great. Perhaps the only suggestion would be to add some more closet space in one of the two bedrooms and perhaps in the bathroom.

- there are multiple signs in the apartment that warn of additional charges, which leaves you slightly on edge (perhaps in response to previous guests). - upon arrival, the apartment was not particularly clean. Grime and residue on appliances and bathroom felt as though it hadn’t had a good scrub down before we arrived. We did let the host know who came around to inspect and apologised. We averted her apology, and just tried to give things a bit of a clean ourselves. - the check out system feels quite unsafe for guests. We had a cleaner calling us demanding money for not being able to get into the apartment (she quoted us $50 per 15 minutes), and after multiple harassing calls, proceeded to call us ‘rubbish’ when we insisted we put the keys back where they were supposed to be (this was also witnessed by our taxi driver). Once we contacted the host and told them we were reporting this as suspicious activity, the calls stopped. If you are going to stay here, I would highly recommend recording yourself dropping the keys off. This felt DEEPLY suspicious (especially when reflecting on the high level of ‘additional fees’ warnings dotted around the apartment). The whole thing felt suspicious. A sad way to end our stay in a beautiful country.

The location was perfect x The beds were all doubles and really comfortable x The kitchen/living room were extremely equipped with everything we needed x The shower was great x The entry was smooth x Plenty of bedding and towels for everyone xx The pillows were so comfortable xx The decor was lovely xx

Nothing it was perfect for all of us xx Extremely happy all round xx
