Bluegreen Vacations Club La Pension, an Ascend Collection Resort

The hotel was close to our main destination for our trip which was the House of Blues. You could only access the hotel with a key card which provided a nice sense of security.

I was a little disappointed in the room. Our room pretty much had no windows and the suite was significantly smaller than anticipated. It would be fine if there were accurate pictures on the website but the pictures all showed significantly larger rooms with huge expansive windows. We had two windows on the floor that let in virtually no light so we were forced to rely on overhead lighting the whole time. That eventually messes with your circadian rhythm.

Staff were accommodating and great. They give you a magazine on New Orleans that has absolutely everything you could possibly need to figure out an itinerary. If you needed something front desk or texting the number they had available was there. You’re close enough to walk to everything you need while also being away from the loudness at night. The room was gorgeous and artsy which I loved. Convenience store right next to the property. Tons of restaurants, waterfront close by. Great place for family and friends.

Very loud, you could hear your neighbors and every conversation happening in the hallway. Very outdated and a bit dirty.

Absolutely loved the exposed brick and the very unique decor. The walk in shower was very refreshing with great water pressure and hot water that lasts!! Also loved that the bedroom could be closed off and had no windows for optimal rest throughout the day if needed.

Our towels were stained and there were a collection of various medication that was under one of the night stands that was not picked up from a previous tenant.
