DON’T GO – IT’S A SCAM. I paid over 7,000 Rs for this place, which felt like nothing short of daylight robbery. The room was dirty and unwelcoming. I was given no towels, no toilet paper, and not even hand soap. The old blankets used as duvets had huge holes in them and smelled disgusting. Half-board was included in the price, and I had agreed with the host to have dinner at 7 PM – as early as possible because I had to wake up early the next morning. Before 7 PM, only roti and daal were available. I showed up exactly at 7, and the host seated me at a table… then completely ignored me for nearly an hour. Meanwhile, two large families were served full meals. Eventually, when he noticed me staring, he looked at me confused and just said, “Yes mam?” – like he had no idea why I was there. My food hadn’t even been started. When it finally came, it was just 3 roti and a small bowl of cold daal – something that would cost maybe 100 Rs at a local restaurant. To make it even worse, he brought out the rotis in his bare hands. It felt incredibly unhygienic – if he doesn’t even offer soap to his guests, I doubt he uses it himself. I went to bed starving. Breakfast was also included the next morning, but I chose to skip it – I didn’t want to start my vacation day with another awful experience, so I ate somewhere else.
