"An awesome experience. Will definatly be back in the future. Thanks H & T."

Location has some beautiful walks. Its a stones throw from a convenience store. Peaceful area with lots of wildlife. Frome & Longleat are a short drive away. I liked everything about the place. I'd definitely recommend for a romantic getaway.

Only down side was the drive surface gravel...it gets everywhere.

"Great accomodation"

9.0

Great accomodation.fantastic surroundings. Plus, Tawny Owl in the tree outside, pheasants in trees.

Even though it was a small place, the heating should have been switched on before we came. It was very cold.

"Very nice accommodation, lovely area."

9.0

Self catering, so has a full kitchen. The welcome pack - bread, butter, milk, tea/coffee etc - was very welcome. There's also a drinks 'cabinet' which I used on arrival. The house was very clean and smelled fresh. The location and whole village is gorgeous, The Talbot Inn has excellent food and the beer was good. The village shop is 2 mins from the Dormer and serves breakfast in the attached café; the bacon sandwich was very nice. The church is beautiful and there are numerous old buildings to see as you wander around. Also a large park, but the weather was dreary and I didn't explore that. I found the locals very friendly too. I was visiting alone so the chance to interact with people was important to me. If you make the effort to speak to them they will chat, and that hasn't been true of everywhere I've stayed. If you want to stock up on supplies there is a Sainsbury's in Frome. It's easy to find and has a petrol station.

The house is lovely with only two minor niggles: 1. the shower is low pressure and not easy to get the temperature just right, but there's a note to say so, so it wasn't a nasty surprise. 2. the tv didn't allow me to see live terrestrial channels or listen to music (that I could find) But this didn't spoil my stay, they really were just niggles.
