It was lovely and bright, sparkling clean, and quiet.

We liked the accommodation, but had ongoing issues and communication was poor.

We arrived at 4pm and the holiday let had not been cleaned. The cleaning staff arrived at 4:30 and disrupted our settling in period. This was really poor. We had 2 elderly parents with us and my son who is autistic. This disorganisation was unacceptable. We called the contact number to notify them and we were offered a complimentary late check out. I took this at face value and expected this would be communicated for our final day. However, on the morning of our departure, we received a message and email informing us that our check out was at 10am. Therefore, the complimentary check out had not been followed through. We had to hastily and hurriedly get out of the property before 10am as I didn't trust that we wouldn't be charged for late check out. I called the contact number and the late check out had not been followed up. Poor communication and team work. Proof that one department do not communicate with another department. Leading to mistakes and stress for holidaymakers. Next mistake made was that despite booking 4 adults in early on- only one bed had been set up. The sofa bed had no bedding available and when we went to get comfortable for bed, we found that the sofa bed bed linen including sheets, pillows and duvet were all locked away with a padlock in a chest in the living area. This was very frustrating and annoying as we were tired and ready for bed. We had to yet again call the office. They weren't able to offer a solution straight away. This was around 9pm. At 10pm, we were called back and told that the padlock key was in the emergency key lock area outside. We finally got our key a d had to make up the bed hastily and very tired and annoyed at this point! The person on the phone said that we did not notify them that we would be using the sofa bed, but I replied that we had clearly booked for 4 adults! Did they expect the 4 adults to sleep in the one bed?!

It was a great location. Enjoyed watching the busy harbour from the bay window in the living area.

We didn’t feel like it had been cleaned properly. We took our shoes off at the door and the soles of our feet were black from walking on the wooden floors. The kitchen surfaces also felt tacky. Disappointed in how the bedroom was presented. It looked like the pillows had been thrown onto the bed and someone had been sitting on it. The throw was just over a chair like someone hadn’t finished making the bed properly.

Nice spacious flat in central location handy for harbourside.The flat provides all that is needed for a self catering holiday. Pittenweem is a beautiful wee busy working fishing port, the local people are very nice and the nearby coastal walks are stunning. Seats at the harbourside are great for a view of the seals, ducks and gulls diving for fish.

On entry to the accomodation, despite the fact the apartment had been cleaned, there was a significant musty / dog smell which we got rid of after airing the apartment for an hour by opening all the doors and windows. A big selling point for the apartment is the view of the harbour. This is very limited from the side panel of a dormer window and certainly can't be viewed from a seated position in the living space. The view can only be enjoyed by standing next to the window or sitting on a cushion on the window sill. So that was a bit disappointing that your main view from the front window is a large old 2 storey building across the street which wholly blocks the view of the sea.
