Seaside Respite Main road apartment

We were pleasantly surprised by the unit. It was exceptionally good value for money. The host adds small touches that make your experience stand out from what you anticipate. In past experience, at this price range you usually have a good chance of not getting value for money, but this host ticks all the boxes. Things like fresh milk in the fridge, yogurt, muesli, rusks, pod coffee, and even fruit, most hosts will cut costs and ignore this, but it does make a difference. The unit was very clean and well presented, check in and out is smooth, the kitchen is well equipped for self catering for 2-3 people. I'm already planning a return trip.

The only thing I did not like was the shower in the bath as I'm not skinny and the pillows were too soft for me, but both these are personal preferences and not a failure of the host.

I booked the property and I was told a few hours before check-in that it was double-booked and they had to move guests from their other property to this one. They did not block it off the booking.com site or offer to help me find a property nearby. Very unprofessional and I would not recommend them!

Excellent location, beautiful apartment, very kind landlady! Highly recommended, just use the heater from the cupboard. The landlady had left all sorts of goodies and food for us in the fridge, and the note they wrote with recommendations was adorable. Honestly really appreciate everything, and would love to stay there again!

It was super cold and the first night we were freezing! The second day we found a heater in the cupboard. Wish we'd known about it before because we were almost sick with cold the first night.

Neat and clean apartment

The apartment is spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you require for a short stay. We appreciated the finer touches such as the complimentary coffee, rusks, yogurt and muesli. The location is perfect and within walking distance to the center of Hermanus. We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay.

Walking distance to the town centre. Bed was comfortable. There is plenty of natural light.
