Domus Aurea Luxury Apartment Cefalù

The apartment is nice and modern inside and was clean.

**Privacy/Data Protection:** An active surveillance camera was installed on the adjacent neighbor's balcony, directly pointed at the rental property's balcony. This constitutes a serious invasion of privacy and was not disclosed in the property description. **Noise Pollution:** The property is located approximately 20 meters from a railway line without noise protection. Trains operate daily from 6:50 AM to 10:50 PM multiple times per hour at eye level, causing significant disruption to the quality of stay. In addition, the building has very limited noise protection, so that you literally can hear the neighbors sleeping. This information was also missing from the property description. **Incorrect Map Location** The property is not correctly shown on the booking portal's map, so it is very difficult to find. The reason might be to hide the closeness to the train track. **Communication/Service:** After contacting the host regarding these issues, we encountered stalling tactics. Following our cancellation on the evening of our arrival day, we were subjected to verbal abuse and unfounded accusations, despite maintaining professional and courteous communication throughout. **Conclusion:** Due to the inadequate property description, privacy violations, and unprofessional communication, we cannot recommend this accommodation. We vacated the property the following morning. **Note:** Guests should be aware that their activities on the balcony may be recorded without prior notice.

Nice property, modern.

As a railway men, it was interesting to me to be close to raylway line, but for someone it might be disturbing, also from my opinion it was not too loud. It is approx 20min walk to center, but there are nice beaches nearby (other direction) and also restaurant on the way.

Not too much about the apartment except that it was quite spacious. But the city of Cefalu and the beach was very nice!

the location of the apartment - it was hard to find and it is not very nice from the outside. It is in a residential building - very noisy. You can hear every word of the neighbors and barking dogs. There is also a very noisy train passing right by. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable - the sheets were not very clean and smelled. The children's bed was not made and a rather uncomfortable small sofa. The hot water was not enough for 4 people to shower. There was no dishwasher and washing machine as indicated in the description.

Lovely modern apartment with nice views. No Cutlery, utensils or toaster. In a residential neighbourhood, with some barking dogs.

Location was just outside of the main town, apartment was beautiful and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Having a washing machine and free parking was a bonus.

Clean and modern apartment not far from the city center. Amenities are new and great. Was definitely a good holiday stay.

Spacious apartment. Clean & well equipped. Perfect for a couple or a family with a toddler. Great communication with our host. Flawless wifi. Recommended if you travel by car otherwise it is a long walk to Cefalu. Parking is available on the main street. Bonus: train spotting which is fun for toddlers
