The staff were super friendly, and the setting is tranquil and sereen. The attention to detail was welcoming. For instance, I brought my Cocker Spaniel, and the hotel provides a soft dog mat, dog treats, and poo bags. Although the infrastructure is somewhat 'old', the facilities are all in good working order and kept spotlessly clean. The breakfast service was super! I invited 2 non-resident guests for breakfast, friends of mine, for a small (£15 pp) surcharge. There was a good choice of juices, cereals, fresh pastries, fruit, yoghurt, and jams & honey. The cooked breakfasts were super, and also cater for vegetarians. Tea and coffee galore. All brought to us by two extremely friendly and helpful ladies. Thank you so much for the most pleasant welcome and stay. When in the area, I will call in again.

"Health & Safety nightmare!"

Quirky, charming, characterful.

Health & Safety nightmare! Mould in bathroom. Furniture with missing bolts. Door-closers broken. Low headroom obstructions. Atrocious lack of service from amateurish Duty Manager. Under invested facilities. Poor maintenance schedule. Tired accommodation.
