Beautiful location, lovely log burner which the owner helped us to light

The rugs on floor slipped a little, so could be a hazard, could do with sticking down somehow.

Beautiful location. Hosts were always available. Pet friendly. Comfortable bed. Everything you could need. Enjoyed the sun drench balcony- we had good weather. Lovely place to have a relaxing time. Thank you.

The drive up to the venue was different - but exciting and the roads was kept pretty good.

The Roundhouse is in a clearing in the wood with a distant view of high hills. You reach it along a little footpath through the woods. Very dreamy and beautiful! Although off the main grid, they have their own sources of energy, so there is a little kitchen, with a cooker, some electricity and a hot shower. Having a balcony all round the house is wonderful. One of the most lovely places we have ever stayed! I think it would particularly appeal to guests who appreciate taking care of their natural environment, and like to walk gently on this earth. The sun shone all the time we were staying!

The beautifully decorated wooden roundhouse was clean, cosy and very peaceful. The log burner kept it warm, with plenty of logs provided, and the beds were very comfortable. Dog friendly, rural and completely quiet — perfect for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommended.

As it’s an off‑grid stay, the toilet is outside and composting. It was perfectly fine and well maintained, but it’s a personal preference and may not suit everyone. Thank you

So pretty and tranquil

It was much bigger than we thought it would be, plenty of space even if the weather isn't great and you're stuck inside. Cosy fire, full size cooker and plenty of kitchen utensils. Bed was big and super comfy. Completely private, but only a minute walk from the host's house if there was an issue. The silence was amazing. Must be amazing in warmer months. We'll have to come again when the sun's out.

We came at the beginning of January and it was sub zero temperatures outside, so even with the loads of extra blankets provided, and the little log burner going full pelt, it was a tad chilly. You have to embrace your inner hippie to cope the compost toilet, but it was an experience.

The aesthetic was cosy and very enjoyable. The kitchen was cute. The shower room was different in a good way.

I liked the location anfd the fact that the place was off grid as you told me including no wifi. It is a relief to get away from everything modern
