Staff was absolutely great. Took care of every need.

The location is wonderful for those whoo seek to lay in the beach alone. It's on opposite site of the capital. There is wonderful restorant with ocean view and delicious food. You can see the ocean from chalets terrace and bedroom window. We stayed at chalet no 2. The price comparing to atver is very good for the property. In the bedroom there is AC.

The bed linen wasn't clean as we would liked to and the living room has kind of a smell,cos the chalet is a bit outdated - but it has everything what You need booking self catering. Also the bed mattress is quite used and need to be changed. In 2nd chalet there are no blinds in shower,so from neighbor house and office You can actually see inside in the shower room( and especially if there is lights switched on)

The location on Anse Parnel , nice view of the ocean from our patio . Spacious chalets equipped with everything you need . Pineapples growing out the back . Tropical setting . Huge bed and huge bathroom . Friendly and helpful host Richard .

I have been travelling frequently and extensively for decades mainly for leasure purposes and stay mostly at airb&b and short term rental apartments. Surfers Beach Self Catering Apartments are among the best (out of the circa 25-30 apartments I have stayed so far worldwide), in all respect: location, comfort, kitchen, cleanliness, staff, layout, spaciness. Easy check-in, late check-out, helpful and always available owner, daily cleaning, great, open, widespread view on the Indian Ocean, 1 minute walk to the nearest beach (Anse Parnel), properly equipped kitchen (which really made real self catering feasible for us - we cooked dinner nearly every evening), shady big ocean facing terrace, Good location to explore the entire island - providing you rent a car. Airco and fans were highly efficient and silent. Surfers Beach is only 10 minutes drive from the - in my opinion - best 2 beaches on the Island. Would I return? Yes, definitely!

Some minor issues: despite some previous reviews, there is no outside shower / foot washing tap in the garden (or at least we could not find it). This would be really useful, as public toilets/ showers/foot washing utilities are unknown on the beaches of Mahé Island (we have been to like 20, and none of them had any such facilities....though some have open-air fitness parks...) Some curtain would be useful and practical on the bathroom windows. So do insect-net on some of the doors/windows.

Great place to stay if you want to travel in an uncomplicated, spontaneous way. Richard, the owner is very welcoming and happy to help with any question on short notice. Rental car is recommended as you stay in the less busy south of Mahé.

Facilities and staff were great. Lovely cove like beach and mountainous jungle behind. Great value for money breakfasts and caring and attentive staff. Thank you all so much for looking after us.
