Large Former Farmhouse, Crickhowell

A very homely farmhouse in a lovely quiet corner just outside Crickhowell town. The kitchen was great to hang out during/after dinner, and the beds were comfortable. The host was friendly and polite. We felt very welcome, the house was clean and cosy as we arrived after a long hike in the elements!

The location is beautiful with stunning views and it's very peaceful. It's a good sized property and there was ample room for our family get together. Jonathan the owner kindly let us check in earlier than was expected.

One of the reasons that I chose to book this cottage was because our 2 year old grandson was with us and the property photos showed a garden with play equipment. However sadly it was very overgrown with nettles and brambles around the swing and slide. In fact you couldn't even access the steps to the slide because of the overgrowth. The house itself was also in need of a good clean, lots of cobwebs and dust everywhere, however the facilities were adequate with comfy beds in good sized rooms. The paths and steps into the property were loose and uneven so you needed to take extra care while accessing. Parking is tight, we had 3 cars and the area behind the house is a very uneven and a rough surface on a slope.

Within Peaceful setting and very comfortable accommodation. The host was also very helpful. Thanks and I certainly recommend this farmhouse those who looking for country retreat.

The views from the property were stunning and the property was very spacious and had everything you needed in terms of feeling you were at home from home!

There was nothing major to dislike! Parking was available but it was tight if, like us, you had 3 cars.

Jonathon was a fantastic host, flexible and communicative. The house itself is beautiful and the views are extraordinary. Highly recommend!
