See is not really visible from the house or deck. Only from the corner of the deck.

If you are looking for a retreat in nature then look no further. Ballot's Treehouse checks all the boxes. Facilities are excellent and the jacuzzi is a lovely feauture on the generously proportioned deck. Location near the sea is stunning.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible property, and it truly exceeded all expectations! The location is absolutely phenomenal—it's like living in a luxurious "treehouse" surrounded by nature, with stunning views of both the ocean and the river. The hot tub was a particular highlight; soaking in it while listening to the soothing sounds of birds and waves crashing against the rocks was an unbelievably peaceful experience. The fireplace added an extra touch of comfort and charm to the living room, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere during the evenings. We also explored some breathtaking hikes in the area, including the Magic Forest, Whale, Fynbos, and Ystervark trails, each offering its own unique and awe-inspiring scenery. I highly recommend this spot for anyone seeking a tranquil retreat with a perfect blend of natural beauty and comfort.

This property might not be ideal for those who prefer to avoid climbing lots of stairs.

Beautiful well equipment place.

The hosting agent, Stephen, was not available, got lost on the way there, had to go through a township, no road map instructions, no key collection. Basically no comms from hosting agent. It was a logistical nightmare and very poor service.

The owner was amazing! We had several issues that needed attending and he was incredibly responsive. Pierre has an amazing spot and he's 100% committed to ensuring his guests have a great experience.

As a manager of the property Host Agents were completely worthless. Our contact wasn't responsive and the company was unable to handle any of our issues. They need to let you into the property when you first arrive and we were unable to reach them (fortunately people were leaving and we were able to get into the gate). If it weren't for the owner's intervention, our stay would have been very difficult. We had several challenges with power and water, but Pierre made all the difference. Overall, this is a beautiful property, but a few things to consider: (1) The house is 15 mins from the gate and you're driving on very difficult terrain, so don't underestimate this (seriously); (2) Do NOT arrive after dark - the drive to the house is very challenging - do not underestimate it. The house is fantastic and a slice of paradise, but not for the faint of heart. The owner is fantastic and will accommodate you in every way, but the property agents are worthless.

The location is outstanding, with beautiful views of the ocean from the house. The upstairs living area and kitchen is really lovely and well-equipped.

The only access to the house is a long steep wooden staircase with no hand railings. Do not book here if you are physically challenged in any way. The bedrooms are downstairs with only one having an en-suite bathroom. The other double bedroom's bathroom is upstairs and the third "bedroom" is a tiny space with bunk-beds for 2. We were without power for the entire weekend due to bad weather. When we contacted the manager to ask about emergency lights he sent us an update on the power situation and no info on where to find light. We found 2 small lights the next day which were hopelessly inadequate for the space. The owner of the property did, however, give us a partial refund which was greatly appreciated.

The location was awesome! The jacuzzi on the deck was amazing!
