Signalman's Cottage in Clachnaharry

This is a quirky old cottage, decorated to a high modern standard. The clue is in the name, trains passing by the window. Very close to the eastern end of the Caledonian canal. With a swing bridge taking the railway over it. Clachnaharry Inn was very welcoming and served good food.

Parking was a little tricky.

Maybe a chair in the bedrooms

Absolutely Everything! The property itself with its modern features, spacious rooms, power shower, the cleanliness, the location overlooking train tracks and Caledonian canal with amazing views, the peace and tranquillity, being right down the road from the pub, the unexpected extra tea, shortbread, some food supplies, good wi-fi and TV options (you can connect your own Netflix account to TV), useful guest information book, travel guide books and maps, Cherry the host was really helpful. Excellent value for money, could have definitely stayed another week!

Only issue was parking - it is possible but be aware that you may need to park further away from the property and may involve a lot of manoeuvring and tight spots. We understand that the owners have tried to arrange parking in nearby school for guests but they reneged. So they are trying. Hope a solution comes up soon.

Beautifully decorated and set back from the busy road. Cosy cottage, with everything needed to live comfortable for the stay, maybe a comfier sofa to relax on would be nice, but other wise it was perfect. Excellent communication when it was needed.

everything - this is an amazing place, we were lucky to end our trip to Inverness here!

I wish I had booked more nights ;-)

Was good to go for a walk on the canal very close.
