Shirahama Key Terrace Hotel Seamore

Hotel is old, I can see water marks on the drawer door. Compare with the other resort we stayed the night before which have free drinks and water provided everywhere, this resort has nothing. Can't even fill up water bottles easily...

The buffet meals (breakfast and dinner) were nice and had a great selection of food items. The location of the hotel is nice too, and would have provided a great sunset view especially at the footbath, if not for the cloudy skies during my stay. You could also choose Tempur pillows for additional comfort.

The staff at the buffet had an odd table allocation system, and seemed to allocate the nice window seats in the D section only to specific people. Not sure how that system works but I was disappointed to be getting not-so-good seats for both dinner and breakfast. My bed area also seemed to have some insects during the night and bit me on my hands and legs. Fortunately not bed bugs though. The toilet and basin are oddly far apart. Not sure why but it is not the most convenient design. The airconditioner also don't seem to work unless you put it to auto mode, otherwise the room can be pretty warm and stuffy.

If you are one who likes unparalleled sea views + hot spring baths, give this place a try! The bathroom and room decorations are a little old-fashioned and have a sense of age, but overall, everything was functional and very clean, plus room amenities were good. If the weather is good, do take a soak in the open-air footbath on the first floor of the hotel and enjoy the views while at it. They also provide yukata in the room, which can be used around the hotel as well as to bring to the bath. I highly recommend trying their outdoor bath, which has amazing views of the Pacific Ocean. Hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful, and even though some couldn't speak good English, they tried their very best to help us with any queries we had. much appreciated. Would return to stay next time!
