We loved the fireplace,

In one bathroom the bed was near the radiator so it was a little uncomfortable to sleep and we had no internet!

"an ideal choice for nature lovers"

10.0

First things first, the house. It is a beautiful traditional house, two stories, with walls made of stone and wooden elements everywhere. Every room is equipped with everything you could imagine. In the kitchen there are more than enough crockery, a toaster, a coffee maker, a kettle, condiments, napkins, towels, washing up liquid, and many other things. The two bathrooms are equipped with soap and cream hand wash, shampoo, toothpaste, toilet paper, hair dryer. There are two bedrooms upstairs, one with a bunk bed and the other one with a double bed. The bedrooms have night lamps, closets with sheets and blankets (the beds were already made and ready for the visitors). It felt like home – maybe because it seems like a normal house and not just a hotel room. Our kids had a wonderful time, they told us they want a house like this in the mountain. Now the Old Elatohori. Well, I think that we chose the ideal time of the year to visit the village. If you are kind of anti-social, you should come in October. There were very few visitors (something that really pleased us because we are not into crowded places), but keep in mind that when the ski center opens, it gets crowded. In the village, you can find a café-bar, a gift shop, and some taverns. The weather was lovely, sunny with the right amount of chilliness at night. We went hiking in the forest area called Keramida, for 3 hours in total (we were two adults and two kids, 4 and 9 years old, something that prevented us from keep hiking until the Sotiri Rema waterfall). We loved the colours of the nature, the fallen orange leaves, the beech trees, the walnut and chestnut trees, the streams, the bridges, the waterfall. You don’t need to be in extremely good physical shape, as the paths are passable and suitable even for a small child (if you have a baby carrier, bring it with you, you will definitely need it). We are already planning our next weekend in Old Elatohori and Traditional Stone Cottage!
