Wasn't clean the bathroom

Super comfy bed and the added extras home made flapjacks, butter, tea & coffee and fresh milk.

Towels were a bit scratchy so could be easily remedied.

Room only location was lovely

Room smelt of damp towels were hard dust on the mirror, and under the furniture.

Location was great. Tranquility and privacy was second to none. Amazing extras, flapjacks. Tea and coffee, sugar and milk, butter provided for arrival. Great to have our dogs allowed and have a private garden. Close to the river and train station. Local pub eatery within walking distance. Close to the cricket and rugby club and close to the train station although we didn't use it on this occasion. Lovely comfy bed. A shawl and extra cushions were provided so I was able to sit and read in comfort as well as sit and photograph the local wildlife in the garden. A great place to stay and chill out and recuperate when a rest is necessary. TV, netflix and WiFi was provided. Welcome pack had all info needed but the cover could have been labelled to make it more clear as to what it was The breakfast bar was a great addition as was the garden table and chairs. Ice cubes were in the freezer part of the fridge.

Bathroom needs a little attention. Black mould was present in the shower and on the shower head however I did find some mildew spray in the cleaning supplies. The plastic silver coating on the bathroom cupboard handle was peeling away and was sharp to touch, The toilet roll holder was in an awkward place . The soap dish in the shower was a bit flimsy but shower gel and shampoo were provided which were of excellentxcellent quality. If I visit again I won't take a bar of soap into the shower as it was difficult to pick it up when I dropped it without opening the shower door. Had I been a larger person I would have struggled to get into the shower cubicle. Black mould was also present when I opened the sash window which I suspect was due to no extraction in the kitchen area. Shame there was no wardrobe and no bathrobes/ house slippers.. There were drawers underneath the bed but we wasn't able to use them as they were full with spare bedding and towels which could have been stored in an ottoman or off the premises possibly. No instructions left to say what to do with the used bedding and towels, key on leaving, different people think differently so clarification would have been good, We weren't able to walk barefoot as the flooring had some damage and was starting to lift. Overall our dislikes are easy fixes and would not stop us from staying again. I felt the mirror at the side of the bed was in the wrong place and not really usable / necessary.

Well laid out, fully equipped and nicely decorated. Milk, butter and homemade flapjack left for us. A lovely quiet and peaceful location.
