"Quirky , comfortable, amazing views"

9.0

Large house which accommodated from age 8-80 Lovely views , well equipped.comfortable beds.owner very responsive. Tennis court & grounds great for children as well as the swimming pool.Games room has everything you could want.it was great for the experience we wanted it for. Visit from the sheep and lambs in the garden in a morning.

Nothing , be warned however this house is an experience it has all the comfort you need all the utensils you need however it is 17th century, it is lived in and it is in need of some maintenance in some places ( certain areas of pool etc ) cobwebs in high places so if your expecting pristine cleaned , all repairs done - go to a hotel . If you want quirky , comfortable space that you can make yourself feel at home as well as beautiful views then this is the place for you

"Perfect location for a large family group."

10.0

The house is spectacular! We loved it. Amazing views over the Mawddach estuary that first greet you as you come down the sweeping driveway. There are a lovely pair of chairs covered in comfy sheepskins in the bay window that are perfect for sitting and enjoying the scenery. We were a group of eight and there was lots of space and things to keep everybody happy - swimming pool (available all hours), jacuzzi (best location and view), tennis court, games, good Wi-Fi, watching the Olympics... The bedrooms were all very comfortable with one bathroom between two. The master bedroom was a treat with a lovely full length window and a sumptuous large en suite bathroom. We spent a lot of time at the property as it had so much to offer, and enjoyed cooking on the Aga. We did manage a great climb up Cader Idris. The host was welcoming and communicated well.

The weather could have been better. There is no easy footpath along the road so you do need to get in the car to get to Barmouth. You are not disturbed by the road though when you are in the property as the house is set a good way back.
