Ruska's Guesthouse

The hostess was very rude and unwelcoming. We had a technical issues where we were not able to contact each other prior to my arrival, which resulted in her not knowing when I would arrive. When I did arrive she lashed out at me for not replying to her. I showed her my phone that I did in fact contact her, which she didn't believe. The night was extremely uncofmortable. The following day my messages to her were delivered with a delay. However, she sent me a very angry message why am I contacting her after my departure. I replied I did no such thing, and she is simply receiving messages from the previous day with a delay. It's the not miscommunication that bothered me, but her assumption and lack of belief even after I showed her my phone that I was telling the truth and extreme dissatisfaction she displayed openly, without hiding it. p.s. I had a private room that could not be locked from inside. Considering how hostile she was, I felt extremely uncomfortable that night not being able to lock my room.

I absolutely loved my stay here! From the moment I arrived, the host made me feel incredibly welcome — so warm, helpful, and genuinely friendly. The entire place was spotless, with great attention paid to cleanliness and comfort. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and I had a restful night’s sleep thanks to the peaceful and quiet atmosphere. The location is also a big plus — it's very close to the airport, which made my travel plans much easier. Every detail in the hostel felt carefully thought out, from the cozy interior design to the practical amenities that made the stay even more enjoyable. It’s clear that the host truly cares about their guests’ experience. I’ll definitely be booking this hostel again next time I’m in the area!

With host aggressive behavior. there is nothing to be liked

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Beware! This guesthouse is in a very remote area with no taxi apps coverage, no food delivery, no nearby shops or restaurants, no drinkable tap water, and no mobile data signal. You depend entirely on the host for transport, who charges excessive fees (30 GEL each way). Inside, there was a strong sewage smell, my pillowcase was stained and smelly and not changed, and closets were full of the host’s personal belongings with no space for guests. The beds were falsely advertised: I booked a double for my parents and a single for myself, but both were tiny junior beds. When I complained, the host was aggressive, refused to accept standard sizes, and insulted me by calling me “fat" and because I'm fat, I can not be fitted in the bed which is very offensive and unacceptable. The host also double-booked the single bed in loft with dangerous stairs to another guest and “upgraded” me to what she called double bed but it was junior. She threatened to report me to Booking.com to block me when I raised these issues. Prices were higher than nearby 4-star hotels, and food was overpriced and poor quality, so we did not order. As a hospitality professional with 12 years’ experience, I’ve never seen such rude, manipulative, and unprofessional behavior. This felt more like a prison than a guesthouse. I do not recommend staying here.
