Une forte odeur d’humidité malgré que nous laissions la porte d’entrée ouverte qui est d’ailleurs le seul point d’aération… aucune fenêtre C’est une honte de louer une cave et d’en faire une chambre

First of all, the description of the object and the way to get there was not matching at all. It was suggested by the host, to ask people around. No one I spoke to, and I speak portuguese, didnt know anything.. There was no way of calling the host, he refused to take any calls, didnt reply to WhatsApp messages, didnt call back - nothing!!! I have never ever experienced anything like this in 15 years of travelling with booking! After 2h of running around and waiting searching and waiting finally there was a guy who had a rough idea where the place was.. So I managed to find it, like this but almost missed my appointment due to the delay.. Inside It smelled like detergent everywhere, but at least it was clean. The bed was comfy, Then the next thing occurred: No WiFI! after several attempts I was able to get a connection which only worked near the entrance door, but with no bandwidth (see photo) it always cute off and because of the slow speed I couldn't even download documents.. Conlusion: The worts stay I have ever had in 15 years of travelling!

This property had a fantastic location right in the heart of Alfama, full of life night during the day and quiet at night time for when its time to sleep. The place was clean and comfortable.

The electricity tripped once but this wasnt too much of an issue and it was a simple fix at the fuse box. The shower didn't stay hot enough to have 2 showers, even when leaving some time between them. Then there was the unsettling noise of the rodents in the walls and ceilings. It wasn't constant noise and movement but when there was it was very hard to ignore it. Hard to rest peacefully.
