"Lovely pub and accommodation in a great town."

I had a very enjoyable stay at The Royal. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food and drink were excellent and the beer was top quality. The bed was comfortable and the shower good. The whole place was clean and comfortable. The neighbour hood was quiet, despite being close to the centre of town.

Communication could have been a little better but any questions I had were dealt with quickly and to my satisfaction. The room was quite small, with nowhere to put clothes or hang anything, but it was adequate for a solo traveller.

Such a warm welcome from Lynne and all at the Royal. Facilities very good and all needs catered for.

"Its a bed and shower . no more, possibly less.."

the manager who had just come back from leave

Freezing cold room . Tiniest room I have ever stayed in ( smaller than Travelodge std. rooms ) . No car park - No restaurant for breakfast - suggested to go down the road to a cafe . No way was this a "Superior Queen Room". Grotty back entrance and potentially confusing entry and exit systems - fortunately inoperative when I was there . Outrageous cost - Totally misleading pictures . Car park insecure public and pay - 250metres away .
