NZClean, warm, well ventilated, spacious rooms and shared living room, comfortable beds. Generally a nice house with great views from all windows, easy parking, close to Bowmore township. Generous hosts who made everyone feel very welcome. Egcellent breakfasts set us up for each day.

USA fantastic place with even better hosts! Jim and Caroline created a great experience for us to explore the many wonderful things Islay has to offer. This was also the best breakfast we had over our 12 day trip to Scotland. The place is a little outside of Bowmore, which makes for beautiful views and a very peaceful atmosphere. We had rented a car (which we took on the ferry) and then rented e-bikes when we got to Islay. The e-bikes were a great mode of transportation from Dha Urlar for us. If you are booking and don't plan on renting a car or bikes, ask about Jim's availability as he also runs a taxi service as well!

GBFabulous hosts and an idyllic location. I came to experience the wilderness (not the whiskey) so this was a wonderful refuge at the end of the day.

No tv in room but it was totally fine - we managed! And there was one in communal lounge to be fair. Would like to watch tv in room though

Single track road to property which is less than a mile outside Bowmore. So not advisable to walk at night time. I had my car so wasn’t an issue for me. The owner is a Taxi driver as well so that would help people without transportation.
