I booked a room with sea view at Mai Hotel in Conakry, but what we found on arrival was completely different from what was advertised online. The photos and descriptions are very misleading. The room they tried to give us looked like it had just been renovated — full of dust, unfinished. There was no sea view, and when I asked the staff, they were confused and had no answer. The entrance was a mess, and the area in front of the door was filthy. Even worse, at the reception, there were young kids who clearly had no training or understanding of what they were doing. It was completely unprofessional. My companion and I didn’t stay — we walked away very disappointed and had to urgently search for another hotel, which was extremely difficult and ruined all our plans. We had chosen this hotel based on its online presentation, but what we saw in reality was unacceptable. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Management needs to be honest about what they’re offering and make serious improvements.

Good service. Thank you for picking me up at the airport. The people were all really nice. I also liked the food very much and the pool was cool too.

I had a very pleasant stay. The staff and the manager was really nice and attentive. I enjoyed my free time at the rooftop with drinks and the food was great too. I would totally recommend this place.

The staff was always sleeping in the morning. You have to wake them up to make breakfast and they complain about it. The WiFi in the rooms are very bad.
