Location was perfect, price was great compared to other places in the areas

I don’t think it’s clear the rooms have a communal shower room, and you have to go in naked too, it’s not something we would have booked if made aware of.

רק אחרי כשבוע כשההזמנה שולמה ללא החזר טרחו לשלוח לי מייל שאין למקום מעלית לתשומת ליבי ושהצוות יכול לעזור עם המזוודות ואם כבר ביטלתי את ההזמנה להתעלם מהמייל. בעיני זה לא שירות אלא חוצפה, תחושה של מלכודת. למזלי לא מתנהלים עם כיסא גלגלים אבל עם עגלה ותינוק ובמקום לדאוג לחדר בקומת קרקע בעלי היה צריך לסחוב 4 מזוודות כבדות ועגלת תינוק ברגל לקומה שלישית!! מזל שזו הייתה הקומה האחרונה. האדם במשרד כמובן לא רצה לעזור בסחיבת המזוודות ורק אחרי שהזכרתי את הנושא עשה טובה ולקח תיק קטן אחד

We stayed in a Japanese style room, and enjoyed the experience. The tatami was clean, comfortable with the futon, and plenty of space, really more space than we needed. Excellent location, a 2-3 minute walk from Gora Station, with a couple of restaurants nearby the hotel. Breakfast was a plentiful spread, enough options to satisfy Western travelers with their typical foods and plenty of Japanese breakfast items as well. The slippers in the room were, by far, my favorite and most comfortable of the trip. I have one regret -- not asking if I could purchase a pair from them, as I was unsuccessful finding them online or in a store. Access to the on-site onsen was awesome -- convenient, accessible hours, comfortable temperature, clean. It was easy to store our bags before and after checkout, retrieving them at a set, suggested time. When we arrived for official check-in, they'd already put our bags in the room for us, a really nice, friendly touch. They also helped us by calling in a dinner reservation, which was friendly and made the language barrier easier over phone.

The hotel is clean, but know that it's a bit dated and worn. It's not bad at all, but could use a cosmetic refresh, including some soundproofing in the rooms, as the doors and walls are thin. Our stay was quiet overall, as it didn't seem like there were a lot of people on our floor, but I could see it being louder if the facility were busy. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. Because there isn't someone at the desk at all times, we did find it challenging to reach help for check in. There was a note and a phone to call for help, but it just meant a slight delay. We knew this going in and planned for it, not bothered at all, but some might be and would want to know: the Japanese style rooms do not have an in-room shower. They have a toilet and sink, but showering is at the onsen, traditional style with a shared, open shower set-up. There is not an elevator, and the ceilings are a bit higher than standard, so if you cannot walk stairs comfortably, this won't be the right hotel for you. Things in Gora / Hakone close early, so plan ahead for dinner options. If you're uncomfortable walking distances or up steep hills/stairs, plan accordingly, as some restaurant options require a steep walk down a path and uneven stairs, a walk that -- both ways -- will feel like a significant workout to some.

スタッフの方々の対応が親切で良かった。 お部屋の壁や家具などのカラーリングもセンスが良かった。 ゆったりと寛げることが出来た。 また駅近なので利便性も良い。

若干年季が入っているので古いが、仕方ないかな？ トイレの座面に座ると大きな音がするのは気になった。

Generous sized room. Access to comfy single beds (tatami bed was too thin for child though) Loved the hot onsen. Peaceful quiet room. Small sweet hotel. Old school comfort.

Thin tatami bed. Western beds were good. Tatami even my 9yo found too thin and hard.

The buffet was excellent! We loved it!

We liked the size of the room. It was nicely located to the train station and perfect to do the Hakone Free Pass experience.

The building needed a bit of updating, especially the onsen. The onsen was not tattoo friendly. This was the only place that we stayed during our trip in Japan that did not have a bathtub. Staff left early. Not many food options around, no convenience stores. Needed taxi to get around to certain places.
