Cosy Apartment in Costessey

Nice quiet location. The flat was ideal for a couple, and we were out most of the day, so really just a place to sleep.

As other reviews have stated, you can hear the neighbours on occasion, but we weren't really disturbed by them. They could also probably hear us!

Ideal location for us as we were visiting family in the area. Close to local shops and amenities.

The bed was a bit too soft for us as we were used to a firmer mattress, but it would not stop us from staying again.

This is described as sleeping four people but the sofa bed is not suitable for anyone to sleep on. The mattress is really thin and you can feel all the wooden slats under you. We did not get any sleep and had to book into somewhere else for our second night.

The property was very clean and modern. I had to call the owner to obtain a code to get the keys from the lockbox as the number given when I made the booking didn't work. But the host was very polite and helpful. Some questionable neighbours but we're not a problem. Would use this apartment again as it is close to the show ground and convenient for visiting family in Costessey.

The flat was bright and airy, which made it feel spacious and pleasant. The kitchen was workable for basic needs, allowing us to prepare simple meals. We particularly enjoyed the nearby woodland walk — a lovely way to start or finish the day. While some reviews mentioned the location as a downside, we had a car and found it convenient enough for our purposes.

Noise was a significant issue during our stay. The flat had very thin walls, and we could hear the baby from the flat below for many hours. The baby’s routine was quite disrupted — often leaving around 4pm and returning near 11pm — which contributed to the noise. There was also frequent humming from the father, which became quite distracting and made relaxing difficult. One of the days, in the early hours at around 3:49am, we were woken by a fight and shouting in the street from a couple. Then on another evening, loud and violent noises came from a flat downstairs near the end of the block — the police were eventually called. On a separate afternoon, a woman from a flat downstairs near the end of the block was shouting expletives loudly for over half an hour, accompanied by loud music. This was unpleasant for us and especially distressing for our daughter. Altogether, this anti-social behaviour made the environment uncomfortable and unsettling. The flat was a suitable size for two people but felt cramped with three. The kitchen lacked some basic utensils, and there weren’t sufficient supplies for cleaning the floors.

Really well furnished, clean and lovely decor. The apartment has everything you could possibly need for a self catering stay. The host is very amenable, really friendly.

The location, specifically the noisy neighbours. We stayed 3 nights and didn’t get a good nights sleep any night. The walls are so thin, the apartment next door are so noisy, shouting and banging about until the early hours of the morning. Then on our 3rd night, we were woken at 4am by someone outside shouting expletives for half hour and throwing things at the apartments, banging walls and doors.

My husband stayed here while on business nearby and he reported that he liked the layout of the apartment and the kitchen had everything he needed for self catering. Communication with the host was excellent. The decor was nice and the apartment was clean.

Noise was audible from the apartment below, including a baby crying in the night. The bed wasn't very comfortable and could be improved with a padded mattress topper. The water pressure was low in the shower and the heating wasn't very good.
