Excellent location and a lovely outdoor area with a gas BBQ. The bedrooms were very comfortable and having a parking space nearby was ideal. Freya was in touch as soon as we booked and was very helpful.

Some of the seats in the lounge were a bit uncomfortable.

"A very enjoyable stay in a lovely, well situated cottage."

9.0

A very clean, well equipped and well situated cottage. It's a 10-15 minute walk along a quiet, attractive creek to the town centre. There's also a walk up the lane, which after 30 minutes or so leads to a great panoramic view of the area. The cottage has a raised garden at the back up a flight of steps. It has attractive views and catches the sun until mid-evening.

The location was ideal. We were able to leave the car and take a short (10 minute) walk along the scenic creek into the centre of Salcombe.

We were aware of what to expect in advance and had no issues.

"We loved Batson, so beautiful and we enjoyed the short walk in and out of town along the creek."

The outdoor eating area

Would have liked to be able to open the windows on the front bedrooms. It was very hot and difficult to sleep at night!

"Fabulous ! Recommend and would book again."

9.0

3 Fabulous bedrooms with comfortable beds. Very pretty outdoor decking area for eating and relaxing, with BBQ. Lovely place to sit and eat if the weather is good. Brilliant location - only a short stroll from centre of Salcombe and near to a well stocked Coop! feels like you are miles away - very quiet and peaceful. Hamlet so pretty and comfortable views. Reserved parking for one car in the village very very useful particularly when arriving later on.

Downstairs is quite small for 6 people - but still ok for cooking and relaxing.

All of it

A bit of a scary drive down to it. And the wifi in the house failed.

"Comfortable cottage with beautiful views in peaceful location"

10.0

The cottage was perfect for us being two adults and a child. The upstairs was really light with beautiful views from the two front bedrooms. The terrace was lovely for sitting out and enjoying the afternoon sun, again with stunning views. It was stocked well including nice touches such as a bottle of wine and coffee pods. We loved the location as it was a short walk outside of town along the estuary which felt like we were in the countryside, it was really peaceful. The host was amazing, giving really informative information before arrival and was easily contactable and happy to help. We would definitely recommend this accommodation and would love to stay again ourselves in future.

The accommodation description says provides some loo roll, which was quarter of a roll and caught us a bit short. There is a Co-op in the town so we bought some there, but we would have appreciated one full roll as that's all we needed during our stay. We ate in each evening as we had lunch at restaurants. There were plenty of utensils which was handy, but an extra pan would have been useful, particularly if we were a bigger group and cooking bigger meals.

Good location easy to walk to Salcombe town. Lovely comfortable living area and bedrooms. Thank you Freya for the welcome bottle of Wine & Devon Fudge we received on arrival.

Shame we couldn’t enjoy the garden terrace as weather not good would be lovely in the summer. However the steps leading up to the terrace not ideal for elderly or young children.
