Tythe Barn Cottage

Lovely hosts, tasty breakfast, pleasant services, next to the important places.

Pretty little cottage. Comfortable bed. Lovely welcoming host. Close to the chalice well and easy walk to the tor.

I loved the attention and details of the staff and in the house.

The breakfast was really nice, with marmalade, cheese, bread, croissants, yoghurt, mysli, juice, tea, coffee, porridge. Nice backyard with flowers, and places to sit and relax. Everything is close: 10 minutes walk to the town center, 5 minutes walk to The Chalice Well and the White Spring, and the start of the hiking-track to the Tor. A lot to look at in the city (crystals, "goddes-things"), The Abbey, churches. A lot of different healing-sessions avaiable. A lot of restaurants and cafe's. The nature is close: The Tor, Chalice Hill, Wearyall Hill. If you belive in such things: there are strong earth energies, "Ley-lines", on the sacred places around the city. The most amazing is the host couple; Lynne and Lee. So hospitable, friendly, caring, helpful, nice and pleasant. You live together with them and their dog in their house. We had a really warm summer-week (33 degrees Celcius), so it was nice with the fan in the room.

it wasn´t much place left in the wardrobes, but it was ok for us. The house has one bathroom, with toilet and dusch. All guests and hosts have to share this only one, but it was also ok for us.

Super accueil. La maison est accueillante, joliment décorée et super propre. L'emplacement est parfait.

La Sra.Lynne un amor. La casa muy bien localizada, prácticamente al lado del Chalice Well y casi dentro de la Abadía, lo que nos encantó. Todo muy limpio. La energía del ambiente sin igual, para los que así como yo sienten mucho los ambientes. Volveré seguro.

It was in the best location for popping into town and to the springs/Tor

The moment I entered the cottage, it felt like home. Lynne was so accommodating and was organised with everything. I really appreciate the lovely conversations with Lynne and Lee. Also, Louis (dog) was so adorable. The barn cottage has a beautiful garden of which I really love. It was so hot (over 30 degrees celsius) outside, but it was so cool in the garden and inside the property as well. It is situated just 3-5minutes walk to the Chalice Well, about 20 minutes walk to The Tor, and about 10 minutes walk to the town centre. I also met a lovely lady who travelled from Portugal during my stay, and we had such a great time. It was truly a beautiful and amazing stay in this home.

Lynne was the most spectacular host! She was so welcoming and kind. Everything was done above and beyond any expectations. A lovely quiet room with a comfortable bed - everything was always clean and Lynne was so attentive of all the details! A lovely breakfast both days I was there. I loved her little sitting area out back. Thank you, Lynne! I will definitely reach out when I come back!!

I don’t often stay in people’s homes, but this was the best decision I could have made for my one week in Glastonbury. The house is centrally located, beautifully appointed and decorated and Lyn is the most welcoming hostess. I felt nurtured, safe and totally looked after. The room was clean, bright and well appointed and the continental breakfast was great. Thank you Lyn for welcoming me into your home and making my stay so enjoyable!
