Villa Tom

Villa Tom is located slightly outside of Sinaia town on the way up to the mountains in a beautiful setting. The room we had was lovely and well furnished with a large comfortable bed and good bathroom. You would definitely need a car to access the hotel. We were able to drive into Sinaia which is very pretty, and also drive up to the mountains to see the views or ride the cable car to the top for a hike. We had dinner in the evening at a neighbouring restaurant which had pizza and was very good.

Staff were a little hands-off! For example, when we arrived at the hotel, no-one was there and we couldn't get in. We phoned the number and eventually someone called us back and let us in. We were told we should have phoned in advance to announce our arrival time, but I hadn't received a message. There was no reception service at the hotel after this except by phone communication.

Parking was close, free and easy. Close to town, but not in town.

There was a funky smell in the bathroom. One day breakfast was moved to another location due to low occupancy. Spa was not open.

Les clients ne peuvent régler eux-mêmes la température de la chambre. Cela se fait à distance par la direction au moyen d'une application. À l'arrivée, il faisait assez frais dans la chambre (19 degrés). Nous avons demandé de régler à 22 degrés. Rapidement, la température est montée à 23 degrés. Nouvelle demande donc pour baisser à 21 degrés. Malgré tout, la température est demeurée élevée toute la nuit à 23,5 degrés. Par ailleurs, comme il n'y a personne en permanence à la réception, on nous demande de téléphoner à l'arrivée. Pour éviter des frais élevés d'itinérance à l'étranger, il faut être muni d'une e-sim et communiquer plutôt par SMS.
