Mweya Safari Lodge

It was very clean, friendly staff and a beautiful atmosphere and location.

Unfortunately, there was a lot of plastic within the National Park.

The only good thing about this lodge is the location is spectacular with incredible views over the Kazinga channel

Check in took 2 hours as they had messed up our booking. No apologies. In fact the manager got involved and then scuttled off providing no help at all. As others have said the rooms are dated, broken (shower rail, no toilet seat) and dirty. The food is average at best and my husband got food poisoning on the last night - despite arriving for dinner at 8pm (dinner apparently runs until 10pm) there was barely any food left at the buffet and we were told to eat whatever there was. When we pushed they cooked some extra lamb (resulting in the food poisoning). The safari guide they provided was useless - did not point out a single animal. Overall really really really poor considering the price and claiming to be some sort of high end lodge. Avoid at all cost

The food was fantastic. Dinner buffet had a wide selection, lunch on the veranda was lovely. The staff was helpful and friendly. Pool was refreshing and had a good view.

The rooms are older and showing wear and tear.

Beautiful location great for game drives and with beautiful views of the surrounding Queen Elizabeth National Park

The rooms are very dated. The food was below average. Overall the accommodation is overpriced for the quality of the whole experience.

Beautiful view, amazing staff, very clean and tasty food. Good service and plenty of animals around especially at the boat cruise nearby and game drives We saw a lot of hippos, elephants, two leopards and two lions very close to us The hotel is run well by the management making the place magical
