The Threshing Barn: A Luxurious Blend of History and Modern Comfort in Rural Norfolk Introducing an exquisite holiday sanctuary hidden in the peaceful landscapes of rural Norfolk. The Threshing Barn, a Grade II listed marvel dating back to 1625, offers a blend of old-world charm and contemporary luxury in an idyllic setting. Cut from the oak of the historic Forest Common, which once served the King's Navy circa 1623, this 400-year-old barn offers an unforgettable holiday experience. As you step inside this carefully restored barn, be greeted by an eclectic collection of art and artefacts from around the globe. Every corner tells a story with pieces from India, Africa and beyond, showcasing a captivating blend of cultures. Renovated with meticulous attention to detail, this brand-new barn boasts original beams and a harmonious mix of antique and contemporary furniture. The two floors feature frame and limewash plaster, strengthened by modern engineering, creating an aesthetic that sets it apart. Experience the unique blend of history and modern comfort, as 400-year-old exposed oak beams meet the luxury of underfloor heating, available both upstairs and downstairs. Traverse the modern loft-style walkway, adorned with steel and glass, that overlooks the lower floor, creating an engaging and spacious open-plan environment. The Threshing Barn comprises one king-size en-suite bedroom, two double bedrooms and two additional bathrooms. Marvel at our clear night skies using our telescope from the mezzanine, or lose yourself in music on our outstanding stereo system, boasting perfect acoustics and Bluetooth streaming. With your own private garden, you can open the bifold doors and soak up the sun or dine alfresco using the available BBQ. Relax in the seclusion of your surroundings, dive into a book, experiment in a gourmet chef's kitchen, or simply watch the setting sun through the panoramic western window. The Threshing Barn is not your typical party house; it's a peaceful haven designed for a restful, quiet stay. Nestled just 12 miles from Norwich, experience the cobbled streets of Elm Hill, the Sainsbury Centre of the Arts or the historic grandeur of the Castle. Merely an hour and a half train ride from London, this retreat is also within easy reach of the stunning beaches and remarkable nature reserves with some of the finest bird watching opportunities Norfolk has to offer. Be welcomed by your hosts, Tom and Lindi, who will guide you through the delightful features of this luxurious bolthole. No corners have been cut in delivering an opulent getaway spot that'll leave you longing to return. Join us at The Threshing Barn, a refined hideaway far from the madding crowd, and uncover the hidden jewels of the Norfolk countryside. We stayed at the property with family for 3 nights over Christmas, the Barn was perfect with space and beautifully furnished throughout. Lindi, our host was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

"Relaxing stay in beautiful, characterful property."

10.0

Lindi met us on our arrival and showed us around. She was very helpful and welcoming. We arrived later than expected, after an 8 hour drive, but this was no issue. Property itself is beautiful. Amenities second to none. There were many thoughtful touches throughout. For 4 adult family members travelling together, this was so much better than staying in a hotel! We stayed for 3 days during a trip to Snetterton, but could have easily stayed longer.

Nothing we didn't like.

"Property was definitely a passion project. Absolutely beautiful property"

The converted barn is absolutely beautiful. Decorations and amenities were of a very high standard. Owner was incredibly attentive and always at hand.

Sadly the location was a little further out the way than we would have liked. No fault to anyone but the country lanes make times that little longer and you have to account for this if you need to be anywhere in a hurry.

We had the most magnificent 4 night stay! Absolutely immaculate property and lovely host. She was very attentive and showed us how to work the appliances etc. Lovely quiet, relaxing location. Also, the value for money was second to none and was actually one of the cheapest properties on booking.com for the area which was mind blowing! Will definitely be returning, not on business this time!

Nothing bad to say, cannot find fault in anything.
