Stella Mar Oceanfront Hotel

The location is absolutely impeccable. It’s clean, it’s boutique and there are surprisingly very little Bugs. My patio right on the ocean was unbeatable! Although you’re walking distance to a bunch of restaurants and cafes, the shared kitchen is fully equipped and organized. Shoutout to Corey!! The owner is super friendly and goes out of his way to help his guests out. I noticed this boutique hotel attracts a special clientele.

Incredible view, location was excellent and felt very safe. And friendly staff. Also the kitchen is a great idea although I didn’t get to use it.

My only complaint is how hot it got in the room and no a/c for what it costs.

We absolutely loved staying at Corey’s place! The location is perfect—right on the beach. We could borrow surfboards in the morning and take a short walk down to the reef, which meant beautiful sunrise surf sessions. Super smooth and convenient. There are plenty of great restaurants and cafés nearby, and I’d say this part of the beach is exactly where you want to stay if you’re traveling to Popoyo. Corey was incredibly helpful and shared lots of great tips. The kitchen is well-equipped if you need it, although we mostly ate out since there were so many tempting options around. The room was clean and fresh, with a beautiful balcony and stunning ocean views. Just a few steps down to a morning swim. Highly recommended!

Nothing really!

The location is perfect, right on the beach. It has great access to Beginner’s Bay and all the restaurants on the Guasacate side. Rooms were big, with plenty of fans to keep you cool and the deck was the perfect spot to relax with a hammock and a chair. Corey did a great job pointing us in the right direction for food, activities and rentals.

The only thing I wish it had was AC. But there are fans and the sound of the ocean with the windows open at night is pretty great.

Ein kleines und sehr feines Hotel. Der Gastgeber und seine Angestellten sind sehr nett. Wir hatten angenehme Gespräche. Die Lage am Strand mit dem rauschenden Ozean und die Nähe zu verschiedenen Restaurants.

Ocean front property, beautiful beach. Comfortable rooms. Really everything. Corey is an amazing host. Location is excellent. Place is beautiful, and exactly what you see! So good!
