7FORT HOMESTAY Athirappilly

We had a memorable stay at 7Fort Homestay. We arrived late at night in heavy rain, and the off-road drive to the property in our Scorpio was an adventure in itself! If you enjoy nature and a bit of thrill, you'll definitely love the journey. The next morning, the view from the homestay was simply beautiful. We were lucky enough to see deer right in front of the house, and even spotted fresh elephant footprints nearby, which made the whole experience feel so close to nature. The cool weather, rain, and peaceful forest surroundings made it a perfect place to relax and disconnect from city life. The caretaker was very friendly, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. If you're looking for a forest stay with adventure, beautiful scenery, and genuine hospitality, this is a great choice. We had a fantastic experience and would definitely love to come back again with our friends.

There were quite a few rain flies and house flies inside the room during our stay. However, since the property is surrounded by forest, we completely understand why this happens. Once we switched off the room lights and kept the outside light on, most of the insects moved out, so it became manageable. We also noticed that the air conditioner was leaking water in one of the rooms, and the ceiling fan in another room had quite a bit of dust on it. These are small maintenance issues that could be improved. Overall, none of these affected our stay significantly, as the peaceful location and natural surroundings made up for it. With a little more attention to maintenance, the experience would be even better.

Very good stay in the middle of the forest. The host was extremely helpful and accommodating throughout our stay.

Since the property is located in a wildlife-rich forest area, occasional power cuts can happen, and while they do have power backup, it may run out during extended outages.

They denied the booking and ask for higher tariff.
