The owner, staff and setup. Its ideal for those looking for a 'home stay', shared bath rooms and toilets. Since it is a 'house', I didn't verify if owners stay there with other guests. You have to be prepared with others in the place. If you are prepared then no issue.

Layout of room for the 2 of us seems unconventional. Double beds back to back, not side by side. Not a big deal if you aren't particular.

I highly recommend this place to anyone who is thinking of staying in Azumino. I stayed at this place for three nights, and my experience was excellent. I stayed in the single room, which is very small, but the outside common area and cafe makes up for it. It is a big open space, and the architecture is on the open side. It is well lit in the evening as well. The hostel and room is on the first floor. The washrooms are extraordinarily clean. The common area is just on top of the cafe with views of the mountain, cafe and traffic intersection. You won't be bored by just sitting in the common area. The staff don't speak much english, but they would help you with any kind of tasks. If you speak even a word of japanese, they are extremely friendly, and try to know about you. The cafe serves limited menu, but their juices are top notch. The curry rice is also good. The service in the cafe will be slow because of limited staff. There is 7-eleven at 10mins walk. Just a few steps away there is McDonald's and a huge Muji Store. The hotaka station is 20mins walk. I would recommend to take the road that runs along the canal if you decide to walk from the hotaka station to this place. There will be cafes and restaurants at 10 to 20min walking distance.

Beautiful café hostel, room spacious can welcome multiple person. Bathroom and toilet are clean. Nice shared area. Well located, free parking on site

2回目の滞在です。毎度のことながらスタッフの方がとても暖かくて、子供も大人も実家に帰ってきたかのように落ち着けます。食事も美味しくて健康的。安曇野の中心地からほど近く、様々なお店も近くにあるので、登山にも観光にも長期滞在にも何をするにも便利です。

お風呂があれば完璧ですが、宿のコンセプト上仕方がないように思います。登山する方が多いと思いますし、車でないと不便なロケーションなので、しゃくなげの湯などに行くことでカバーできるんじゃないかと思います。

El hostel es una casa entera en la que las habitaciones estan arriba. Con una sala de descanso enorme privada para los huespedes. El encargado es muy amable y atento con los huespedes. Las duchas compartidas son privadas y perfectas y muy nuevo. No parece un hostel, sino un hotel. La planta de abajo es un restaurante que sirven comida muy buena y bien de precio. Cenamos una ensalada muy completa y un curry. Y por la mañana un desayuno con açai y cafe. Todo buenisimo. Esta un poco alejado de Matsumoto pero relamente vale la pena!

Algunos otros huespedes se levantaron a las 5am para irse y nos despertaron. Cosas de hostel. Si estas dudando entre este y otros hostels, deja de dudar. Este es el bueno, hazme caso
