MT Penida Bungalow

The room is spacious. The pool is very nice and the water temperature is good. The breakfast is simple, but good. The bed has a net which helps to protect against the bugs. The property helped us rent a bike for IDR 80,000 a day, which was very helpful.

We accidentally left 3 pairs of shoes in the bedroom and the property was really unhelpful when we tried to get them back. I had to sent multiple messages to the property’s manager before he answered me with two voice messages completely impossible to be understood. I kept asking if it was possible to send the shoes to Bali (because we had already left Nusa Penida and, of course, we would pay for everything related to posting the shoes) and up to this day he has not answered me. Therefore, this 2-night stay in Nusa Penida ended up being the most expensive stay for us in the 3 weeks we stayed in Bali. I really don’t like properties that only answer you or are helpful when it benefits them, and refuse to even answer a text message (up to this date my last message remains unanswered) once you have checked out. A bit more consideration would be nice. During the 2 days that we stayed there, they normally didn’t have anyone in the property during the day apart from the cleaner who does not speak English, so it can get a bit tricky if you need something. But you can email them through booking website, which is what I did to get the WiFi password. The road leading to the property is pit black during the evenings as there are no lights whatsoever.

The property was well-maintained and the was clean and spacious. The pool was amazing with a wonderful view of the surrounding landscape

The only disadvantage was that it wasn’t close to much, and it was difficult to get cabs or motorbike rides from the location. You could rent a scooter, but the roads are quite dangerous.

The best value for money I've seen on my 2 month trip to Indonesia so far. Super clean and comfortable rooms and a big deep pool to cool down in. A bit to the side of all the activities but nothing that hiring a scooter won't fix. Highly recommended!
