The Common Knowledge Centre

Die Lage war wirklich schön, inmitten der Natur. Das Zimmer war nicht sehr groß, aber alles war vorhanden, was man braucht. Die Leute vom Knowledge Centre waren alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es war interessant zu sehen, was dort alles an Workshops angeboten wird. Das Frühstück war Klasse! Super Sauerteigbrot und Porridge!

Das Waschbecken war extrem schmal.

I had a pleasant two night stay at the Common Knowledge Center. It's set in a beautiful location close to the Burren and Doolin with other small towns with nice shops and pubs even closer by. Their mission is cool! I appreciated they had gluten free bread and muesli out for me every morning at breakfast.

Noise travels a bit through the bedroom walls if there are guests staying in the rooms next to yours, so maybe bring earplugs or play ambient sounds on your phone if you're a light sleeper.

Lavandino microscopico

The concept of the hotel was good (once we understood what it was) and we were pleased to support it. It is not the usual hotel set up with rooms to one side and communal living/eating areas to the other. But room was comfortable and all we needed and the staff were very friendly and hospitable. Breakfast in the morning was really lovely with good quality ingredients. Villages either side within close proximity for authentic pub meals.

Not a dislike but a suggestion….. perhaps a small blind for the bathroom window as someone could easily look in (albeit woodlands). Very remote road leading to the facilities. Just be prepared.

I was attending a Field Good Friday workshop on organic food growing and biodiversity in Common Knowledge so the location couldn’t have been better. Rooms are very clean and bed was super comfortable. It was my second time staying here and the silence at night and birdsong in the morning is fabulous. Breakfast was delicious. The staff are always lovely too. Luca did an amazing job with lunch (vegetarian curry with charred broccoli, carrot salad and pickled onion) - this was provided as part of the workshop.
