SKY KYOTO

This property wasn’t as clean as I’m used to. I read it as a two bedroom, but just a loft with a partition with a futon. Bathroom was downstairs, which was inconvenient.

We had to go to the hotel reception that is appx. 25 minutes walking from the house to check in and pick up entry code. Inconvenient and unnecessary.

Cleanliness of the house was questionable.

The house was very roomy and comfortable for our family of 3. although it was in an old neighborhood, the inside of the house was very modern, clean and well equipped.

The check-in/reception was very clunky. we took a taxi from the Kyoto station and he ended up at the wrong place. after taking the taxi to checkin, we had to take another taxi to the residence. The neighbors are quite sensitive to noise and I mean regular conversation outside, not loud, shouting, party voices. it was an experience to live like a local, but next time we’re in Kyoto, we would choose to stay in a hotel. we also did not like that the beds and bathroom were on separate floors. we asked the staff to help book a taxi for us on our departure and they were unable to, I think a hotel that has a lot more requests would have better success in booking taxis. the staff is also very limited in speaking English.
