Casa Sciò

We had a brilliant stay! The apartment was modern and spotlessly clean, with a very spacious bedroom and highly effective AC/central heating. It is clear that the property is well cared for and guests' needs have been thoughtfully considered eg guidebooks, hairdryer, washing machine, restaurant recommendations etc. There were even some food and drink supplies very generously left for us - much appreciated! :)The location is excellent - the apartment is very central but because it is down the end of Corso Italia which does not have on-street parking or traffic passing, it remains nice and quiet. It is only about 10 mins walk from the bus and train station which is convenient for getting to the major sights/Naples/airport. The hosts, brother and sister Claudio and Maria Teresa, were so warm, welcoming and kind. The communication to arrange our check-in was simple and seamless, and although we had no problems during our stay, we were very confident that Claudio and Maria Teresa would have been there if we needed them at all. We were sad to leave Sorrento and Casa Scio, but left relaxed and with lovely memories. Would recommend this apartment and these great hosts!!

The flat is in the middle of the city. Convenient for transport, groceries, restaurants, beaches. Very nice part of the city centre. The location is the best part of this property. Once you are in the room and doors are closed, the noise disappears because of the double glazed doors at the balcony. The flat itself is beautifully decorated and newly renovated. The washing machine works well and there is an area for drying the laundry. The flat is very spacious. It is on the first floor so you do have to walk up steps. The hosts are a really lovely, kind and polite couple. They left a bunch of food items for us. It was a surprise for us so we won’t say what they are or it will spoil the surprise. Their hospitality has touched us and left us with the best memories of Sorrento. They also left lots of washing liquid for the washing machine which was really helpful. Oh yes, beds are comfortable, and that includes the double sofa bed that my son slept in.

It was in a great location, on the pedestrian street right in the centre of Sorrento but very quiet at night. The owners left a lovely welcome pack, even beers in the fridge.

We received such a warm welcome by Claudio and his sister Theresa. They showed us the aparment and told us how to use the appliances. They also welcomed us with free bevarages, pasta and bread. The location was AMAZING! Close to everything. Apartment so clean and nice decorated with lovely details. I really recommend this place and will absolutely stay here again when I am back. Thank you Claudio and Theresa for taking such good care of us and made our stay so memorable.

Main street, but way up a flight of stairs from the Harbour.

Very rude managers, Claudio and Maria. Everything was great, except for broken coffee machine, until the door wouldn't open when we tried to leave on the last day. They accused us of breaking the lock and demanded payment for the locksmith, which took 1.5 + hours to unlock. When we left, Maria screamed at me, "You're crazy! You're crazy!", which I didn't respond. We missed, losing our payment of our ferry. We had to pay again 69 euros for the next ferry. No compassion from managers, no compensation, except being screamed at and accused of breaking a lock. How can you break a lock? We turned the key but it wouldn't open. I have traveled all over Europe for the last 10 years with my family and never treated this way around my family. Shame on you both!!! Avoid this rental!!!!

As others have said in their comments - Claudio & Teresa were brilliant hosts. They met us at the apartment and gave us plenty of info about Sorrento and the area. They also left a big supply of bottled water and various snacks & treats. They also had the fridge stocked with fruit juices and several bottles of beer! They gave the apartment a full clean halfway through our stay as well, which was hugely appreciated. They also left us a lovely wee gift of some local Limoncello, which will go down quite nicely now we're back home. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had plenty of room for us. The air conditioning was overworked but did it's job fantastically, and was great to get back to a cool apartment every day! We didn't use the cooking facilities but the kitchen area was well set up. Casa Scio is central to Sorrento without being absolutely in the centre. It's on Corso Italia - one of the main shopping streets, and has several pubs and restaurants right outside the door, including the lovely Cafe Latino, which is set in a lemon grove and serves delicious food. A very short walk brings you to the market streets of the old town. Sorrento itself was busy, as expected, but not ridiculously so. We would definitely stay in Casa Scio again, it was all we needed for our time in Sorrento, made even better by the attentive hospitality of Claudio & Teresa.

This is one of the best properties in Sorrento. It is centrally located in Corso Italia, the main pedestrian street with all the shops and cafes/restaurants. It is so clean and spacious, it includes two small terraces/balconies, it is very comfortable. Claudio and Maria Theresa are such caring hosts, they helped us with everything we asked, they were very quick to respond, they left us water, beer, coffee, food, and let us leave our luggage before check-in. All in all, I could not have envisioned a better place to stay in Sorrento, the value of Casa Scio is incredible!
